SOS was set up in 2011 and has over 70 members. We engage and co-operate with other climate and nature groups across the county to protect and extend wild areas, aiming to join up swathes of land to enable nature recovery. We bring together Community Action Groups and Council, prioritising sustainable food, planning, water and waste policies in our area.
Bioabundance Community Interest Company is a grassroots organisation focussing on the consequences for nature and climate change of land-use in South Oxfordshire. It addresses the question of how to restore nature to the best state it has been in since the 1950s.
Bioabundance is the campaigning arm of South Oxfordshire Sustainability. It has filed at the High Court for a statutory review of the South Oxfordshire District Council Local Plan 2035. It hopes to see the plan quashed as it would wreck our chances for a zero-carbon South Oxfordshire, and accelerate the catastrophic decline in wildlife that we are seeing.
